Superfoods
Whether you’re super fit or super unfit, at some point soon you need to start thinking about taking in more superfoods. These foods are powerful enough to help you lower your cholesterol, reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and more whilst at the same time have a beneficial side effect of mood enhancers – miserable? Then eat superfoods and start feeling happy. Assuming you want to feel happy!
So, how far do you have to go to find these powerhouses of energy and confidence boosting goods? Not very far. head in the direction of you nearest corner store or supermarket and seek out…
- Salmon
- Beans
- Broccoli
- Oats
- Blueberries
- Oranges
- Tea – green or black
- Spinach
OK, so I know some on this list will have you ‘Urgh’ing’ as well as the children, but introduce some of these foods regularly and consistently and over time you will feel the benefits. Overnight cure? No. If like me you’ve abused your body with foods over decades then the ‘fix’ will not be instant but be patient and keep believing. If we continue to eat an unhealthy diet then statistics indicate that we could reduce our lifespan by up to 13 years.
13 years! That’s the age of one of my children – I know I want to live long enough to enjoy my children as adults and I don’t want to deprive myself of the feeling I will have when they decide to leave home and peace returns! lol In truth, I probably won’t know what to do with myself but let’s see.
